mk headshot smallMarcia Kadanoff is a marketing innovator with a track record of success growing businesses using using direct and database marketing.  She has experience growing both start-up companies and established brands.  Over the last 15+ years, she estimates she’s created $2B+ of new value for the various businesses she’s been involved with over the years, either as their CMO/VP of Marketing or as an marketing-services executive with responsibility for direct marketing strategy and execution. 

From 2006 - 2008, she served as VP of Marketing at Mobio, the maker of mobile applications that has received numerous kudos from Fierce Wireless, Forbes, Laptop Magazine, and IDC among others. At Mobio, she was responsible for acquiring customers for the company’s downloadable mobile applications both in the US and in India.  Prior to Mobio, Kadanoff served as CEO & Founder of a group consulting firm called   called Firewhite to help companies find new sources of growth in markets sectors that were not growing:  retailing, technology, media.  Firewhite attracted a national clientèle including CompUSA, Knight Ridder, and Charles Schwab.  From 1997-2000, she was a member of leadership teams that jump started early stage businesses and turned around struggling marketing practices of the direct marketing arm of global advertising agency.  In 1991, she recognized that direct marketing could be more than “junk mail” and built a high-profile direct marketing agency to address this opportunity.  Marcia co-founded Miller/Kadanoff Direct & Interactive, and built this agency into a $20M business delivering creative excellence and ROI driven marketing.  At one time, Miller/Kadanoff was the largest direct marketing agency on the West Coast; it’s clients included AOL, Cisco, Oracle, Levi Strauss, Sun Microsystems, Wells Fargo Bank, among others.  Kadanoff got her early training in marketing at The Clorox Company, Apple Computer, and Sun Microsystems.

An early adopter of web blogging for corporate collaboration as well as wireless data, Marcia has been profiled on the NBC Nightly News and in Business Week and Mobile Computing magazines.  Kadanoff has served as a Vice Chairman of the Committee of 200, the nation’s pre-eminent business women’s leaders.  She is a graduate of Stanford University (MBA) and Harvard (BA).
